Even at an early stage of your studies, you can acquire specialist skills from the sub-areas of geography and focus on human geography, physical geography or relations between man and the environment. Lectures in geoinformatics, cartography, statistics and other field and laboratory methods provide the ideal preparation for advanced modules, which teach planning skills for location analysis and environmental planning, for example.

The abilities and skills acquired in the minor subject can be used in the following profession fields in particular:
- spatial planning in the broadest sense,
- environment, nature, landscape,

- geospatial information technology
