The master`s program Motologie und Psychomotorik / Motology and Psychomotricity aims to promote personal development in a holistic way. The central question of Motology is, how physicality and movement can achieve this objective. Its practice applies to the entire age range: children and adolescents, adults and the elderly. As an educational or therapeutic concept, it is offered in many institutions under the term of "Psychomotricity“.
Objectives
The master's program provides you with a strong, application-oriented qualification. It’s main professional fields are the development and health support as well as therapy. Motology is applied to the entire age range in corresponding educational and therapeutic institutions: developmental support institutions for children and adolescents, clinics for children, adolescents and adults, psychiatric and psychosomatic clinics, senior care institutions, health centers, independent practices, colleges, universities and private practices.
There exists the option to acquire a Ph.D.
Admission requirements
Required university degree Degree from a discipline-related bachelor's program in the field of
- Educational Science
- Sports Science
- Psychology
- Psychomotricity, Physical Therapy or Ergotherapy or
- Social Education and Social Work
- Special Education
or a comparable domestic or foreign professionally qualifying university degree. A degree from a teachers training program is considered a comparable degree in the subjects of sport as well as the special/inclusive education.
The professional qualifying university degree must have been completed with a total assessment of at least 2.5 (9.5 points) or at least the relative ECTS grade "C".
The underlying study program must have a major topic in the fields of Education and/or Kinesiology and/or Developmental Psychology and/or Body Therapy (of at least 30 CP in min. one of the cited fields).
In addition, in the completed studies:
- Competences in the field of educational and / or Developmental Psychology in the amount of at least 30 CP and
- Competencies in the field of Kinesiology and/or Body Therapy are proven to be at least 5 CP.Certifications of program-specific knowledge and skills to be submitted prior to admission German skills:
