Information for students who are blind or low-vision
Initial situation
With approximately 150 students who are blind or low-vision, Philipps-Universität Marburg is the university in Germany at which this population of students is most represented by far. In addition, the broadest range of subjects taken by students who are blind or low-vision can be found here in Germany.
Philipps-Universität Marburg has long endeavored to take this circumstance into account. Thus, the Work Area for the Counseling and Study Support of Students with Disabilities was founded at the start of 1987, out of which the Service Center for Students with Disabilities (SBS) emerged.
