08.07.2024 Productive retreat to Edersee

The MiNu PhDs and Postdocs spent three days in the lush greenery that surrounds the famous snake-shaped North Hessian reservoir, intensively working on posters and other presentation techniques.

The first comprehensive retreat of our Research Training Group took us to an idyllic part in the North of Hesse. At Seminarzentrum Fünfseenblick on the shores of the Edersee reservoir, many of our PIs and our PhDs and Postdocs concentrated on fundamentally important scientific topics such as research data management and analogous technology pitches using flipcharts, or on advanced dos and don'ts of posters. Some of the sessions lasted well into the evenings.

But MiNu did not miss out on team building either. The densely forested region offers many things to do and see, not least the beautiful historic dam wall, which - built in 1914 and almost destroyed in WWII - still dams the river Eder to form Hesse's largest lake.
