Not only with a view to the speakers, whom we were extremely happy to have here in Marburg, were we very pleased with the well-attended event – which lasted jovially and long into the evening.

On 12 July, we welcomed Prof. Iwona Mruk from Gdansk, Prof. Ben Luisi from Cambridge, Dr. Rebecca Hinrichs from SYNMIKRO, Dr. Georg Hochberg from the MPI for Terrestrial Microbiology, Prof. Kristina Jonas from Stockholm and Prof. Urs Jenal from Basel at the first Symposium of GRK 2937. The long, intense afternoon was rounded off by a get-together over a buffet and the poster session of our doctoral students, which had only been kicked off at our Retreat the previous week. |
