Equal opportunities between female and male scientists are an important concern for the DFG. Each year, the DFG therefore reports on the number and proportion of female scientists submitting proposals to the DFG, their proposal success, and their representation on the DFG's statutory bodies. Here, we would like to draw your attention to an issue of Nature Cell Biology in which numerous female scientists describe their experiences in the course of their careers from diverse scientific backgrounds in short essays.
The DFG attaches great importance to equality of opportunity for male and female researchers.
