This Z-project provides TRR81 researchers with a pipeline for the identification (and/or development) of tool compounds to investigate chromatin processes. In an iterative procedure, starting after target evaluation, the computational branch will assess whether the project should be conducted through the synthesis of either small molecules or peptidomimetics. In both cases, a synthetic pathway will be designed to give access to compound libraries based on structure-activity-relationships. The most promising binders will be optimized in close collaboration with the respective TRR81 projects.
