Gender equality officers in the departments

Contact persons for all women employees and students

Each department and academic unit at Philipps-Universität Marburg has one or more departmental Gender Equality Officers. They have been elected as a part of a plenary meeting of women at the department and then appointed by the dean.

The departmental Gender Equality Officer is the onsite contact for all women employees and students. Women employees and students can turn to them with all questions and complains; they will make every effort to find solutions and are bound to confidentiality.

In addition, in consultation with the central Gender Equality Officers, the representative will participate in hiring processes and on appointment committees in her department and must thus be included in the hiring processes in the applicable department.
