Projects and activities

The activities in the area of women’s advancement, equality and equal opportunity are under continuous development and implementation at Philipps-Universität Marburg. From the awarding of the Women’s Advancement Prize and recommendations on gender- and diversity-aware language to scholarships and mentoring programs, this list provides an overview of the equality measures coordinated by the Gender Equality Office.

In addition to the conception and operational implementation of gender equality measures, our duties also include supporting researchers in writing up third-party funding applications as well as advising all members of Philipps-Universität Marburg on the topic of equality.

In our work, we are in close contact with the Family Service and Antidiscrimination and Diversity Office, with which we also cooperate, as well as with the Staff Council or the Representatives for Persons with Disabilities. In addition, the Gender Equality Office holds workshops and training sessions at regular intervals in cooperation with the Office of Conflict Counseling and Process Development and the Human Resources Development Unit.
