The University of Marburg shapes the city of Marburg and the region. However, the university’s academic impact extends far beyond the region. The university is committed to sharing its knowledge with society. It supports university members in the transfer of their ideas, cultivates social and economic cooperations, and is open to challenges. As a guest, you can attend and audit many events at the university. There is a wide range of courses on offer in 16 departments with over 200 degree programs and subjects.
Studium Generale

The Studium Generale is a lecture series of the University of Marburg which is directed toward the general public. Each semester, a specific topic is examined from different perspectives.
Museums and collections

The University of Marburg includes the Museum of Art on Biegenstrasse and the Museum of Cultural History in the Marburg Castle, as well as more than 30 collections, many of which are open to the public.
Start-up consulting

From the idea to the start-up phase, the University of Marburg accompanies its members on the way to founding their own company and supports them with consulting and coaching services.
