    Reflection and critical thinking are foundational to meaningful learning. In this workshop, you will receive a brief introduction to the opportunities and limitations of using AI in your reflective processes. Participants will have the chance to explore practical use cases that demonstrate how AI can serve as a 'reflection guide,' enriching your learning experience. The workshop will provide a platform for engaging discussions on harnessing AI's potential in academic settings.   • November 14, 2025, 2.00-5.00 pm (CET): Online workshop Religious Humanity through Dialogue (Prof. Dr. Bülent Senay & Prof. Dr. Stephan Pruchniewicz) (JLU Gießen)

    This seminar session attempts to define a target perspective for interreligious dialogue. Interreligious encounters and discourses are not an end in themselves. They are always set in a specific social context and, according to the assumption, always have an effect on it. What is the motivation behind religions and denominations seeking dialogue? What resources do they make available - for the dialogue itself and the society in which it takes place?   • November 24, 2025, 2 pm - 4 pm: Round Table Discussion "Civic Education - European Perspectives"

    The Center for Teacher Education invites you to a digital round table discussion. Under the title "Education for Democracy - European Perspectives", educators from universities in Germany, Portugal, Poland and Serbia will provide insights into the challenges and opportunities of civic and democratic education in Europe, share their country-specific perspectives, and engage in discussions with the participatants. During the event, participants will have the opportunity to discuss in groups with students from the partner uniersities, develop common questions, and participate in the panel discussion. The event will be held in English.

School Visits for international students

  • November 12, 2025: School visit at Gymnasium Philippinum

    The Philippinum, founded in 1527, is the oldest of Marburg's grammar schools and offers a holistic, humanistic education with various focuses. On the morning of November 12, 2025, we invite international and Marburg students to a joint visit to the Philippinum Gymnasium in Marburg.

  • December 12, 2025, 9 am: visit at the blistaCampus in Marburg

    Would you like to learn more about how education and participation are designed for people who are blind or visually impaired? On Friday, December 12,2025, from 09:00 a.m., we invite international and Marburg students to join us for a visit blista in Marburg.

    Blista is a nationally recognized competence center for people who are blind or visually impaired. It offers a wide range of educational and rehabilitation services - from its unique secondary school (Gymnasium) and decentralized boarding facilities to the German Library for the Blind, as well as vocational training, counseling, and state-of-the-art rehabilitation work. Its goals is to dismantle barriers and foster individual potential.

    During this visit, you will have the opportunity to learn about blista´s educational work and the field of education for the visually impaired in a presentation. This can provide valuable perspectives for your own studies and your future work in the education sector.
